Teach Me Time! children's alarm clock features a dual-color nightlight that turns green when it's "Ok to wake!". This convenient (for parents, that is) feature was inspired by homegrown solutions to the problem of young children bounding out of bed at very early hours. If you've ever taped over the minute digits of an old digital alarm and instructed your son or daughter to not get up until "this number is a six", then you're one of many (sleep deprived?) parents who understands the need for the dual-color nightlight. Teach Me Time's! nightlight has flexible timer settings. You define the time that it turns on (soft yellow glow), the time that it changes color from yellow to green ("Ok to wake!") and the time that it turns off. If desired, the color-changing option is easily disabled.
Let's Learn To Tell Time!
Teach Me Time! features an interactive, talking time-teaching game designed to help school-aged kids learn to tell time on both analog and digital clocks. The large, bright LCD display is capable of displaying the time in either format or both at once. More specifically, the Teach Me Time! game works very much like the time-teaching tools that grade school teachers use in the classroom:
First ask your child to press the left toe button to display a random time on the analog portion of the display (digital time hidden). Next press the right toe button to have Teach Me Time! speak the answer and display the correct time in digital format.
The game is designed to create a dialog between you and your child about time, keeping you involved in the learning process. The Teach Me Time! game is fully adjustable - five difficulty levels allow you to restrict which times are displayed (for example, just "round" hours) so that you can start simple and progress in difficulty as your son or daughter matures. Full manual override provides complete control of the game by the parent, if desired, allowing any specific time to be hand-entered.
"Grown-Up" Alarm Clock
For older children that want to get up "on their own", Teach Me Time! is a fully-functional alarm clock with snooze - just like mom and dad's! A fun "ding-a-ling" bell sound takes the place of the more traditional beep-beep-beep. When sounding, the left toe button snoozes for ten minutes and the right toe button silences the bell.
American Innovative has tried to make Teach Me Time! as flexible as possible to meet the needs of parents everywhere. Teach Me Time! comes with three interchangeable colored bezels (blue, pink and yellow). Use the "Display" button to show just the analog clock face, just the digital clock or both at once (to help kids make the association). Volume and brightness settings are also fully adjustable. The Teach Me Time! game and alarm clock may also be used under battery power (two AAA batteries included) for maximum portability.
Safety First. Teach Me Time! has been tested for lead paint content and has passed all related tests as defined by the ASTM F963-07 sec. 184.108.40.206 safety specification. Teach Me Time! is also CE certified and comes with a UL-listed (US models) or CE-listed (EU models) AC power adapter.
Kid-Friendly Shape, Parent-Friendly Design. Kids love the shape! "Toe" buttons are fun to press. Large, friendly display with animal icons and clear, friendly female voice. Parents appreciate the function and form. Concealed "parental" control panel provides access to clock options and instructions. Interchangeable LCD bezels (blue, pink & yellow) provide options for any room decor.
Other Flexible Options. Voice volume is adjustable (Off, Low, Medium, High), LCD backlight/nightlight brightness is also adjustable (Off, Low, High). LCD display options allow parents to select analog (clock hands) display, digital clock (numeric) display or both together.
