There are many options in cloth diapering today. The Bottoms Up! Trial Program has been designed to introduce you to several types of diapers so you can begin to learn what works best for your baby and your family. It may take you some trial and error to figure out the routine that works for you—don’t be afraid to play around with things. You may find yourself in an adjustment period at first – especially if making a transition from disposables to cloth. Some families find that when making this switch, mixing up a reusable system with disposables (eg. Overnight, or for outings) may make the transition easier—do whatever works best for you! But not to fret—most parents find that using and washing their diapers is much easier than they thought it would be, and quickly become avid full-time users! No matter how you incorporate cloth into your diapering system, you will still be making significant savings, reducing your family’s garbage output, and keeping you baby comfy.

Our Bottoms Up! Trial Kit allows you and your family the chance to see and try out a variety of the cloth diapers available all in one shot. Once you have tried and compared all the cloth diapers you will be able to make an informed decision as far as what diapering system might work best for you, without investing too much all in ONE system. In fact, you may find that you like a mix of diapers to meet all of your needs.
Trial Length: 1-2 Weeks
Enough time for you to test out each style of diaper on more than one occasion and get an idea of the amount (or lack of!) work and washing involved in cloth diapering.
Cost: $15- 40 depending on the Kit you are interested in.
In the event that a diaper is lost or damaged beyond normal wear and tear you will be responsible for the replacement cost.
Cleaning and Sanitary Issues
Included in the Trial Kit is an easy to follow washing guide. We require that the diapers are returned to us clean. We will also wash and disinfect the diapers upon their return to ensure they have been cleaned properly. Using vinegar, lavender and high heat we ensure that any germs, odors and stains are removed. The diapers used in the Program are carefully monitored and replaced at the earliest sign of wear.
Getting Started
Give us a call, stop into the store or send us an email! We’ll need to know when you would ideally like to take part in the trial. You can be put on the waiting list once your little one is born, weighs at least 8 lbs and his/her umbilical cord has fallen off. When you contact us, we will be able to give you an idea of when you can participate in the program.
When your time has arrived we will contact you and you will be able to pick up your kit. We will go over all contents in the kit and how to use each item. You will also be given a handy resource guide that will help you though the experience.
